Greenleaf – Avalanche

I had the opportunity to visualise the lyrics for Greenleaf, the Swedish stoner rock legends, in their 2024 single "Avalanche."

I could write a many words about the complex process of animating the beautiful visuals created by singer Arvid Hällagård with A.I.. Or how I spent countless hours on every detail, matching every movement to the rhythmic beats of the drums and guitar riffs. From defining the base colour palette to handcrafting grungy texture overlays to create an analogue look, these were just some of the tasks I undertook to give the video an authentic feel. I meticulously timed every animated word to perfectly match Arvid's deep, smoky voice.

The blood, sweat, and tears poured into this unique animation are evident from the first second to the end.
This video is not just a visual representation of lyrics; it’s a testament to the artistry and dedication that every artist puts into their respective creative field. From writing lyrics, to performing with their voice and putting every pixel in motion.
